Mr. Vijay Jambhekar was working as Systems Manager in India’s largest bank, State bank of India, Vashi branch Mumbai.  Mrs. Vijaya is a teacher serving in one of the prestigious convent schools in Mumbai,  Their only son and daughter in law, works in a reputed software co. in Pune.  Mr. And Mrs. Jambhekar always wanted to do social work at the grass roots leve after their retirement. However around two months back, they were on an outing at Ahmedangar when they came to know about  Shnehalaya, They visited  Shnehalaya campus and were moved by the work being done and they felt that this is their  destination.  The couple decided to pursue VRS from their work and join Snehalaya. Mr. and Mrs. Jambhekar have shifted to one of the rooms in Snehalaya and they have got involved in the day to activities of Snehalaya.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; Mr &amp; Mrs Jambhekar  intend to focus on the education  and development of children. Their experience in technology and teaching would be of immense help in grooming children at Snehalaya. Besides this, the children of Snehalay are very happy to have a new set of grand parents round the clock in the Snehalaya campus&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mr and Mrs Jhambhekar have refused to take any remuneration for their work at Snehalaya. Mahabaleshwar Moraje (Mumbai), Dr. Sambhaji Pathare, and many other principals of the noted colleges  visited Snehalaya.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; Father Derito said, Institutions like Snehalaya where the selfless service of humanity is going on are more sacred than any church, mosque or temple.  The involvement of the youths is forthcoming to Snehalaya , because of the sacred motive and open mindedness to share the authority with them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dr. Kolaskar and Dr. Kotapallay assured that the model of Snehalay will be studied by their respective Universities and will try to replicate it in other institutions.  The guests also visited the Balbhavans of Snehalaya run in different slums.  The vice-chancellors interacted with the slum children..
